Description - The AXAGON ADS-1PSN active USB converter easily extends your computer with a RS 232 standard serial port. The seamless compatibility of the USB - serial RS232 adapter is due to the use of an original chip from the Taiwanese company Prolific. The fixed 1.5 m long USB-A cable is suitable for use with both a desktop computer and a laptop. The cable is equipped with gold-plated connectors and contacts, the very durable body of the adapter is also suitable for industrial applications. Double shielding protects transmitted signals from adverse interference. An ideal accessory for your computer to connect barcode readers, cash register printers, scanners, microcontroller programmers, CNC machines, modems, and to upgrade or configure set-top boxes, security devices, switches, transmitters and other devices.  Input:  
USB 480Mbps interface (USB 2.0), backward compatible with USB 1.1.
Connecting USB type A male connector located on a fixed 1.5 m cable. Output: 
1x serial RS-232 port with a DB9 male connector integrated in the adapters body. 
Transmission rate adjustable in range 75 bit/s - 1000 kbit/s.
Compatible with 16C950 UART, backward compatible with 16C550, 16C650, 16C750 and 16C850.  Other features:
